The nicest close to a wonderful day is returning to Cottage 2; well-appointed, cozy, and that a-a-a-h feeling of going home.."

"The almost permanent view of the lake was magnificent. Since the lake is west of the property, the sunsets are also wonderful. I even took one of the kayaks out to the Lighthouse. Even though it looks far away but it only took about 10 minutes of easy paddling. Great place for a peaceful vacation. Bar Harbour was close enough for quick day trip and then the Loop at Acadia Nat'l Park provided great panoramic views."

"It was very difficult for me to be in the situation with no Internet and much too far to drive into town every time I needed it. I also didn’t realize that he didn’t supply linens and towels so well though the location was gorgeous those were too big problems for me I really don’t know if I mentioned that on the online booking but I was taken by surprise. "The listing and house was exactly as expected and even more! Great location off of route one in the adorable town of Damariscotta. Fairly quiet road, and when we did see neighbors passing by everyone was super friendly, offering access to their docks as well. There's a public boat launch a couple hundred feet from the house, so if you have a motor boat or jet skis, that is perfect. "This is a lovely little cottage cheerfully acquitted with a lovely bedroom and more than enough living room space for my purposes. There is a great showerhead in the bathroom which I used to wash off after three prior days of camping. Very comfortable and clean. Location: I had thought this was closer to the beach or at least a river access point, which was my mistake.It is located in an odd intersection near the highway. "Very relaxing vacation. The excellent weather certainly helped. We live locally so our adult children could come over for kayaking and dinners. The fire pit was great and we had s’mores every night. Just need to bring your own firewood. Having Wi-Fi was a plus. Dog friendly as it was fenced all around."
