Lovely hotel and resortPosted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: That the owner took the time to greet us & introduce herself. Made us feel welcomed & at home. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: could have had more of their shops and activities open. Free breakfast. All day coffee and hot drinks for the guest.
Location: Right on site....Horse trail riding in the summer....skiing and snowmobile riding in the winter. Boating, Fishing, swimming, tennis, indoor game room
Mom and I had a wonderful working trip experience to stay at a beautiful quaint hotel & resort. When I booked the hotel, I didn't know that it was a historical hotel & resort until we got there. Tucked back into the Northern woods of central Wisconsin with it's lovely fall colored trees over looking the lake. Breath taking.... The hotel rooms were nice and clean. I loved my double bed with three pillows all to myself. Missed my hubby on this trip. But we will be back next time for our family vacation & stay in one of the cabins we didn't know they had. They also have a beautiful restrurant where we could watch out the window deer coming to graze. The food was good. Lovely historic background story.

Family Fun in beautiful settingPosted Jul 21, 2015
An amazing place to relax and have lo-tech, old-fashioned fun. The lake and grounds are beautiful, the lodge is quaint and fun. The restaurant and bar are OUTSTANDING. People are the nicest I've ever encountered. LOVED HOLIDAY ACRES!

Something for everyone. Classic resort!Posted Jul 5, 2015 on Hotels
Wish we were staying longer. Perfect resort atmosphere. Plenty to do but quiet if you want some down time. Several families there. We stayed in the hotel but the cabins looked awesome. Loved the shop too. The indoor pool is huge by hotel standards and 9ft deep at one end. We would go back in no time.

One of the last family resortsPosted Jun 30, 2015 on Hotels
Actually booked a room here just for a quick nights stay. This is actually a nice family resort like the old days. Will probably plan a family vacation here next year and rent a cabin for a week.

A Top-notch Hodag!Posted Jun 29, 2015 on Hotels
Very comfortable, well-appointed lakeside family-run hotel, with very helpful staff (aside from one brusk and inattentive restaurant waitperson). We look forward to a return visit!

Friendly staff, beautiful location, excellent restaurant. It's rustic, but with lots of charm and personality.

Secret Easter BunnyPosted Apr 7, 2015 on Hotels
It was a great place to stay. Vintage but super clean. We stayed Easter weekend 2015 and the hotel owners hid an Easter basket for my boys who are 3 & 5. I thought that was super sweet of them. We will definitely stay here again.
