"Nice place to stay if you're exploring the Cinque Terre area. You'll want a car though- it's not particularly walkable to the the Levanto train station or the town itself."

This eco-friendly hotel is a hidden gem. The house is comfortable and clean, situated in the mountains. The couple that run the hotel are AMAZING. They were very much on top of supporting our family while we stayed there.

What a beautiful hotel! The room was clean - the staff very helpful and the breakfast abundant. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful plus to have the van drive and then pick us up from dinner. I would certainly recommend this hotel

The location is lovely and quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything in the hotel was great, and we especially appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. The lady in charge of breakfast was very nice and attentive, and the receptionist was welcoming and friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience!

To start communication was prompt and comprehensive. This out of the way hotel with its own private garden is far from the sounds of the city center and just a 2 minute walk from shops and dining. The room was clean and well laid out and the service was first rate. I was concerned about not having cell coverage to connect to their system, however it was not an issue. The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful

Extremely comfy beds and pillows, cold a/c, big shower, staff very friendly, luggage storage, beach towel & shower available on checkout day after going to beach! Short 5 min walk from train station and 2 min walk to beach. Would recommend.

Wow, what a spot. Just across from the beach, restaurants, shopping. It’s all right there. And our own huge private terrace with a great view. They were very helpful with everything. And the short walk to the private parking was helpful and less expensive than the public garage.

I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting La Spezia, Portovenere or Cinque Terre. Short car drive to catch the ferry or train! House has a beautiful Mountain View, Italian breakfast was amazing, room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom but most importantly, staff was very welcoming and gave us amazing tips as to how to make the most of our short stay in La Spezia. We will be back!

It was a lovely time, the room was small but fine for my boyfriend and I. It wasn't a too far walk from town and I liked how there was a garden and seating area outside. Levanto is beautiful!

Highly recommend Pensione Sorriso for a stay in Vernazza. Evelyn was a wonderful host and went beyond expectations in helping us enjoy our stay. The hotel has a bright breakfast area/lobby and a nice patio/garden to enjoy. We stayed in a room with a private bath and balcony. Although no sea view from the rooms, there is one from the patio and the sea is only a two or three minute walk from the hotel.

what a cool spot! central to everywhere you want to be in Sestri Levante.
the morning breakfast buffet was unexpectedly perfect for me and the staff
were all very friendly. the wi-fi is a little spotty, but I'm not staying in a place like this to spend my time on a device....

Excellent stay! Amazingly restored medieval property. Accommodations are great, owner is happy to share the structure history and restoration efforts. Well maintained, very clean, and helpful staff.

The room was large and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the water. The online pictures were very accurate. We had large glass doors opening out to a beautiful view and we left them open all night to enjoy the fresh air. The complimentary breakfast was quite good with a diverse menu. I would enjoy staying here again!

The best area to stay in Rio, Liguria, is directly in the village itself, particularly around the harbor and the main street, Via Roma.
This area is the heart of the village and offers direct access to its iconic colorful houses built into the cliffside. It's a compact and walkable area, with narrow alleys and staircases connecting the different levels. The small harbor is a focal point, bustling with local fishing boats and offering picturesque views of the Ligurian Sea.
For couples, staying in Rio provides an intimate and authentic experience. The village's quaint charm, stunning sea views from many accommodations, and opportunities for romantic dinners at waterside restaurants make it an ideal choice. You'll find it easy to explore hand-in-hand, discovering hidden corners and enjoying the relaxed pace of life.
Solo travelers will also find Rio appealing due to its convenient size and friendly atmosphere.
