“My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Woolpack Inn, the service was excellent with everyone smiling and happy to help.
The food was beautiful and the room was lovely and quaint.
We will return”
“This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops.
The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent.
Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy)
All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area”
“A really lovely place to stay, a perfect quiet and very pretty little village. The pub owners and bar staff were very welcoming and made a wonderful breakfast, and we had dinner there one night too which was fab!”
“The room was compact but very comfortable. It was spotless and very well appointed, with a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and even a standing fan. The location is perfect, close to everything you might need. The pub downstairs serves great food too. Even though it's above a pub, there was no noise at all, and I slept very well. Definitely a room for a solo traveller though! ”
“The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.”
“Everything about our stay could not be faulted. Friendly reception on arrival. Told all we needed to know straight away and made to feel very welcome. Separate restaurants as we had our dogs with us and we were the only ones in ours but still were treated very attentively. Good varied menu with several specials on offer. Prices are reasonable and on par with others offering a similar service. Breakfast was a limited offering but still very good.
The character of the hotel is everything. It is……
“Nothing to fault here! Friendly and happy staff. Large comfortable room. Lovely gardens & bar. Delicious food. Great location , just 15 walk into Rye.”
“Great stay, we will be coming back over the next few weeks. Shoutout to James who was the reception host who made us feel at home. Lily also was great at organising the stay and making sure all my questions were answered and gave us an early check in. Really pleasant stay - great team of people all round. ”
“The staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back ”
“Booked a 3 night stay here, as looking for somewhere close to our visit to Port Lympne Safari Park. Friendly, welcoming staff on arrival, couldn't have been more helpful. Had a drink in the garden on arrival, nice little sun trap. Room was very spacious and clean, even had a fridge and microwave which we wasn't expecting. Fridge was a blessing in the hot weather to keep cold drinks in. Bathroom also spacoius and very clean and the shower was really good too. Welcome tray good little selection……
“Brilliant service/staff, unable to book a taxi for New Years party down the road so the landlady offered to give us a lift. Couldn’t be more surprised/ thankful. Lovely pub/hotel nice beer and food and a great breakfast we’ll be booking again in the future.”
"Convenient location and good service. Staff are nice. Breakfast is good. Only thing is that their carparking space is limited in number and needs separate payment."
