Anniversary stay
The pool is not heated there was not a spa nor a spa tub. The bed and couch are horribly broke down. The kitchen table was so sticky I couldn’t even scrub in clean. Other than this the place is beautiful and we had a great time. We go twice a year and rent a cabin tried something different for the pool but didn’t work out.

Read the Reviews
Do not ignore the reviews like I did. Typically, these things wouldn’t bother me but for the price they charge for this cabin, we deserved a lot better. This outside of the cabin is gorgeous and the pool is amazing. The huge bath tub downstairs fits comfortably for 2 people. However, they do not take care of this place and it is very noticeable. The floor boards are lifting (vinyl flooring) and broken in most areas making it very unsafe for crawling babies and walking barefoot. My son’s legs turned black from crawling on the floor after the first day showing that it is not cleaned well. The TV is broken in the pool room. The deck is moldy along with the chairs (no longer featured like the picture, it only contains two black rocking chairs and 2 cheap plastic white chairs) The toaster was broken and the utensils and cooking supplies were very much used to the point where they need to be replaced. The bed sounds like it is broken as well and extremely nosey, so everytime you move you wake up your significant other. There are no blinds aside from the 2 bedrooms for privacy. The gaming chair upstairs is going to snap a leg any second. The tree at the bottom of the driveway hangs halfway over the driveway letting the branches scratch against your car everytime you come or go. The landscaping is full of trash and is also not maintained well either. The community is beautiful though and cabins are nice to look at.

Not worth the money
Mold in the house, all over the porch and porch funture. Broken furniture. Horrible mattresses and 2 flat pillows per bed. Definitely not worth the money.

Great property
House was nice and large for a restful vacation. Pool picture appears much larger than it really is. It is still nice but picture is a little deceptive. Bring extra toilet paper as only half rolls were there. Our family and friends enjoyed it overall.

In need of TLC
We got off to a rough start. At check in, we discovered the lights on the bottom level didn't work and a stair railing was broken (which almost caused an accident when my young daughter went to grab it and it fell off the wall). Both of these issues were fixed promptly on our 2nd day. On our 3rd day, I was woken up a little before 8 am by a call from the management office informing me that the cabin had sold and that Comcast would be there at 8am to switch out all the equipment. Comcast was there for almost 4 hours. We were uncomfortable leaving the cabin with our belongings, so we wasted half of a day waiting for Comcast to finish. Along with this process, the new owner disconnected the phone service which caused the alarm to continously beep. Again, we had to wait for the management company to come disconnect it. Thankfully this was resolved same day. These first few days left a bad taste in our mouth. We noticed the dishwasher was not attached to anything, the floors are very uneven, some of the furniture was practically falling apart, and there were used bandaid stuck to the walls in the pool room. All of these things were surprising to us given the positive reviews. Thankfully the rest of the trip went smoothly. We enjoyed the pool and the location. Unfortunately, on the last day, we realized the heat to the pool had been turned off outside (gas was off). It seemed to be nice and warm when we checked in so I'm not sure who turned it off or when...but I would guess it was related to the change in ownership. If we had noticed this sooner, we would have called to have it fixed and im sure it would have been dealt with promptly. We have been renting vacation properties for over 10 years and we've never had this type of experience before.

Evacuation
Being my first time in this area with my four children, I was unhappy with management regarding the evacuation. We did not get to be in our cabin Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday—we paid over 6000.00 to stay one week. The compassion was lost when we were displaced and needed to get clothing, food, and shelter at a different location Wednesday as there was an evacuation while we were out for the day. There was no arrangements made to get us into a different location- just to seek a nearby shelter. Our kids were crying as they witnessed smoke and fire near our location. We asked for a refund of the last portion of our stay given we needed to pay another large sum of money for other arrangements quickly. Page was very understanding from management, but stated they could only give a 2 day voucher. She understood with a family of 6, unable to retrieve all our things, and a traumatic experience that she would allow me to speak with Nicole, her manager, to try to be refunded (as we were unable to initially go home). I was not asking for a full refund, but merely reimbursed for our last days so we could put it towards the made changes without assistance from their management. I asked about outcomes if the cabin is a total loss from the fire and told then no voucher could be given and we would be out over 2,000.00 by Nicole. Other cabin companies were helping displaced families make other arrangements and we were left in the dust. My husband and I took a back way in to grab what we could in 15 minutes early Thursday morning as the situation was getting worse so we could just go home- unable to afford further accommodations. Our kids cried, our youngest has bronchopulmonary dysplasia and we feared the environment would worsen her lung disease. The owners, I feel for, I pray for everyone’s safety as I am a frontline healthcare worker at our hospital who has had minimal time off these last 2 years.. I felt the cabin specifically was amazing as far as cleanliness, pool, and game room….until the evacuation. I feel the compassion was gone and there was no effort made to have a reasonable solution given our circumstance. We feel sad and hurt. We are also hopeful that the community does not suffer too much damage and cabins continue to provide other families with memories to last a lifetime.
