“Great spot in the heart of Austin. The mermaid place was very beautiful and cozy with the whole environment being a big piece of art, made of many smaller pieces of art. Amenities are excellent, but the futons on the floor were rough on my husband’s back. Other than that, the hosts were great and we enjoyed meeting Lois and Stan.Highly recommend Ubers or other ride-shares to get to local eateries because parking is difficult to navigate. Really enjoyed the scooters in the city! ”

“Property was adjacent/connected to another home that had clearly had a fire and was boarded up. We came in late with our group of teenagers and they refused to stay in the property at first, urging that there had to be squatters in the abandoned/damaged boarded up home that was connected. Our place was pitch black and even the adults had concerns. However, it being really late, we went in and felt OK.Several minor issues in the home: blinds were damaged (a dog had chewed some of them), the……

“What an adorable, thoughtful and well-planned lodging. I absolutely loved everything about our stay here. The place had everything we needed and provided little extras that really made our day. From To-go coffee cups with lids, snacks, hand lotion, nest-sensored heating and AC to q-tips. The bed was super comfortable and I was enchanted with the modern aesthetic of the place. “We picked this mostly for its central location and relatively low price during a holiday week, but I should have reminded myself that you get what you pay for. (My husband came a few days ahead of me and stayed in a pet-friendly high rise condo right on Cesar Chavez, with a gorgeous view, which was in better shape and cheaper than this, though.)Overall it was fine for a few nights but badly needs new baseboards and fresh paint, and a deep clean. “We loved our stay at our VRBO in Austin. It was perfect for my husband and me. It was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. It was hot the week we were there so we were very appreciative of the air conditioning that kept us cool and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was even freshly ground coffee for us. The towels and sheets were nice quality and the bed was very comfortable. Our host was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend……
