"Everyone we spoke with before reaching the property, on the property, and during our stay were such a delight! All the staff including the room service ladies were very helpful and you can tell happy to do so. We traveled with two young children and they had accommodations. We came in super early morning and there was someone there greeting us with a smile. There was a gentleman and lady at the front during the day that sincerely offered directions and suggestions. The cleaning ladies offered extra garbage bag for dirty diapers. Breakfast was just what we needed for our two long days. Poolside pizza was perfect! Not only that, the hotel is located in a hot spot near Clayton’s where we had dinner one night. Walking distance. The list goes on, we will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend staying here. They truly gave that Welcome to Texas feel. Thank you all"

"Had roaches. Cleaning staff did not clean one time while we were there even after we asked. For the price I expected way more. Would stay elsewhere next time"

"First thing you’ll notice is that the parking is for some of the front desk so you have to walk to the front desk and then they’ll use a golf cart to take you back to get your stuff and back to your room and after that you’ll be walking. Next the rooms are dated and not well-maintained. A couch we had had holes all over the back. The bedframe was showing stains and just overall cosmetic details that were not taken care of and seems like they’re just trying to sweep it under the rug. Everything has a cheap motel feel to it. They have a huge box with drinks and snacks with the menu for prices on any of the snacks which are about five dollars apiece. I’m not sure why they do that without asking because if feels like a cheap upsale for a resort. Other then that the pool was nice and it was close to the beach and they have what you need to enjoy the beach and be very comfortable and feel a bit secluded for a family day"

"Sand Rose was always excellent but this stay it has went to the dogs literally! Not used to being around so many pets with allergies it's difficult! Always clean but this stay seemed different maybe cleaning solution changed, breakfast still good. Will go back now have to request no animal room."

"We had a great stay here! We loved the direct access to the beach, awesome pool, and the food onsite at Barry’s bistro/beach bar was well priced and some of the best we had! The rooms were cleaned and while not a brand new hotel, they have updated it so it feels refreshed. They are pet friendly so there were lots of dogs, which was a first for us to see so many in a hotel but luckily there was not a ton of barking."
