"This place is a nice spot for a one night stay either with your family or just as a couple. The casino is a good size, not so huge that’ll you’ll get lost but plenty of gaming for every type of player. The waterpark is a great deal if you spend the night cuz it’s free. I stay up late and enjoy slot play, so it helps if you have an amazingly wonderful wife to watch the kids like I do. Overall one of my favorite one night stay places just outside the cities."

"Close proximityto mayo clinic for us. Room was clean, comfortable bed, staff was very helpful, shuttle was great when needed, and breakfast was excellent."

"Sheets had some stains on them and dog hair was still all over the floor as it was on my socks and got all over the bed but overall a good stay"

"Great proximity to Mayo for our appt. Our dinner at Essex wasn’t very good. The waiter was great! But the food was a disappointment compared to the atmosphere. The waiter explained that the chefs were not on duty—only a line cook."

"There was a very large (by the sound of his bark) dog just down the hall from us. He had been barking for some time before we called the front desk about it. We were told that it is a dog friendly hotel and nothing they could do and she was very short with us. It took about an hour and the poor dog stopped barking. We understand that people are there because someone they love is sick. We also know that pets are family. If it was my dog, I would have wanted to know. And she didn't need to make us feel bad...."
