Hampton Inn Spring Hill

"I remember when staying at a Hampton Inn was looking forward to THE MOST comfy, cushy, luxurious beds in the hotel world. Those beds were something else. Pillowtop plush with puffy pampering pillows. It's been a while since I've stayed at a Hampton, so when I booked this reservation, I was thinking that I'd be welcomed back into that comfy, cushy luxurious world of slumber. Sadly, the modern version that I got was nothing like the past version. The room I got felt dated, or outdated. The bed was decently comfortable, but NOTHING like those memories of mine. Pillows were even less. The toilet is VERY low. Like sitting in your toddler grandchild's teatime chair. And the bedframe legs are definite big 'toe stubbers'. I hit my toes on the bed legs several times. That said, I got an okay night's sleep. And SLEEP is the ENTIRE reason for hotels. The number ONE deterrent from gaining a good night's sleep is usually the room air quality. Cold or hot. I had to set the air conditioning at 70 degrees to remain comfortable. It sure did not feel like 70 degrees. Believe me, there were no icicles hanging from the ceiling. The 3rd floor hallway was quite warm, too. The second deterrent to a restful stay is noise. The room was quiet OTHER than the a/c. That machine was rather loud. The ON and OFF cycling of the a/c was distracting and sleep disturbing. I hate to sound picky, but for a review to be helpful, one must be honest. Overall, an ok stay but NOT Hampton perfect."

"What a great place! This is definitely an upscale VRBO, and they have thought of EVERYTHING. Seriously, just bring your clothes and your toothbrush and you’re good to go!One of our favorite things was sitting back and watching all the action on the water. If you like people-watching, you’ll love it here—kayakers galore going back and forth right in front of the house! Even better, the house comes with kayaks and paddleboards, and the kayak ramp makes getting in and out of the water so easy and safe. That was a huge plus!We also loved the griddle underneath the house—such a fun spot to cook, hang out, and enjoy being outside. The kitchen was stocked with just about every gadget you could possibly think of. The showers were wonderful, the sheets were AMAZING, and we slept great every night during our stay.You can tell a lot of thought went into making this place comfortable and easy to enjoy. We had such a good time and would absolutely stay here again. Great house, great location, and a really fun Weeki Wachee getaway!"

"The house was very cute and clean. The location was great. It was easy to put our boat in the water and explore the river and the gulf. The river was beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking and morning coffees on the dock swing watching the gorgeous nature all around."
