“This stay was a nightmare. So, for starters I will say the main part of the cabin itself was pretty clean, decent. The main issues we had in the cleanliness department was- there’s a rat(s) living in the spare room. We seen at least 1 mouse on 4 different occasions. There were rat turds in the closet in the spare blankets, on the closet floor, & in the pots/pans in the cupboard! Secondly, there is large amounts of mold in the main room’s bathroom. “This cabin was everything our hearts could have imagined! I would just bring a baby gate with you like we did if you have a little one. The host was as quick as lightening with responding to any of our questions and the cabin was stocked with anything we needed. “We had a wonderful stay at the Meadmore cottage on Hartwell Lake. The property is beautiful. The cottage is so clean and decorated nicely. We had six adults and my thrèe year old granddaughter. The cottage is safe for children and has three full baths. The owner, Doug is so nice and very accommodating. We could only stay two nights due to prior scheduling. “Super comfortable beds and bedding.Great layout.Loved the Christmas decorations, especially the chicken tree topper. Since it was so cold, we were glad for the fireplace and the Dyson heaters. It was so cold in the house when we arrived. The owner was very quick to respond to inquiries.The kitchen had to be cleaned before we could use it. Bring your own water for coffee/tea.
