Ive only been here twice for solo piano concerts. Recommend. If sitting outsideo n the lawn, bring bug spray. If youre low on cash and amateurs on Tanglewood, bring beach chairs, a blanket, maybe a low little table to put up your anti-mosquito candle, and bottle of wine. That's the way to do it right. Picnic basket style. Sound quality outside is different than inside. Worth it if you like the music. Big draws in summer.
Don’t try to stand, or dance or raise your arms. The regular Tanglewood peeps don’t like it. Glad we had seats though because it was raining. I prefer the lawn. The people were much nicer!

Tanglewood is beautiful. Arrive early so you have time to explore the grounds. We pre-ordered our meal, surf and turf. It was ok - not as good as last year and the protein portion for 2 wasn't enough. Next year we will not pre-order but will just purchase food in the cafeteria. It never seems overly crowded.
