"There are no elevators, so if you're staying more than a night or 2, ask for a 1st floor room. Dragging luggage upstairs is a pain. The breakfast is pretty small, just cereal, juice, etc. Parking is great, staff is friendly enough. Rooms are decent. Clean. I stayed just one night as a half-way point to my final destination as a solo traveler, and it was great for that purpose. I couldn't see myself staying an extended period of time, but it was suitable for what I needed. Not the lap of luxury by any means, but that's not what I expected or was looking for. Biggest issue would be lack of elevator, but, the woman at the desk who checked me in was able to switch me to a ground floor room, which was greatly appreciated!"

"We stopped at this charming farm on our road trip and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Gina and Greg were incredibly nice! Their home is an amazing place to stay and being surrounded by their animals and property is an incredible treat. Our 2 year old made friends with all the animals and Gina even let him in to run around with her chickens! If we ever make the road trip again, I will definitely be checking if their place is available! "

"I mean, it’s Bakersfield. Lots of cool things in Bakersfield, but it’s not a city known for being a tourist Mecca. The hotel, though, has a really Interesting history and if you are heading through it’s a kind of different place to stay, way better than a typical cookie cutter chain. More like a big city old school vibe. Good bar. Food was excellent. "

"We walked in greeted by what Looked like someone was doing laundry on the table & chairs, the counter had a sign no pets but then the staff had a dog behind the counter who tried to get out and did get out, the surrounding shrubs has Asian drink bottles in the ground. It’s looks like it’s seen better days, stains on carpet and chair, elevator seemed questionable when we left in the morning the breakfast area was dark."
