“Pool was dirty, staff wasn't very friendly and highly disappointed. $300 plus for a night was extreme based on property!! one and done for us!”

“As there are no phones in room I tried telephoning front desk on cellphone with WiFi calling and droped calls both times. The sound insulation between rooms was poor. The WiFi was poor and buffering so often that I gave watching show on iPhone. For a room that carries the cost of Chipeta Resort I found the WiFi and amenities inadequate. Front office staff when checking out seemed as if I was interrupting her. No “how was your stay” nor “thanks for staying with us.””

“We enjoyed Greg and Connie so much. So knowledgeable about the area on things to do and see and where to eat. House was beautiful and breakfast was so delicious!”

“The property was well kept up and very clean. The hot tub and bicycles were fun. Breakfast was fantastic. I would highly recomend a stay here.”

“Staff was super friendly. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning, Parking in and around the area was fine. The only downfall was the temp in the room. They have a swamp cooler, which is probably pretty normal for Silverton’s accommodations. I’m sure not very many buildings are air-conditioned in this town but was a little warm at night. It did cool off but took a smidge of time. Delightful place.”

“The owners were super nice and the building had tons of character. I had to take away stars because the primary reasons I booked at this location was that the property information listed breakfast being included and laundry facilities as a convenience. The owner said they haven't provided breakfast in quite a long time and the laundry facility was a laundromat across the street.”

“Black Bear Manor is super charming!! Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location is the best of both worlds—just a little bit off Main Street, so you’re close to everything but it’s quieter. We arrived early, parked before check-in, and walked to a trail! By the time we got back, December had our room ready early (the best surprise after a hike!) Breakfast was great, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt easy from start to finish. We’ll definitely……
