“Such an amazing place, this is our 2nd time here within the past year. My family loves the place and easy access to the lake which is so peaceful to see at sunrise and sunset. Friendly staff as well and the place is clean. Price is fair. Pure relaxation ”

“Grand Haven is my 2nd home and Captain's Cottage is my 2nd home. I have stayed here many times and it's always perfect. So clean (without the toxic clean smell), very comfortable and a perfect location to downtown and the lake.”

“Staff was excellent. Beds were very comfortable. I did not realize we would be in a building not attached to the hotel. So when the kids wanted to swim, we had to walk (in the cold & rain) to and from the main building to get to the pool. Same with breakfast.”

“The good: Its a brand new hotel, of course its fresh, shiny, and clean The meh: -My tv didnt work the entire night i stayed there. Assuming its not hooked up properly? My bf is an IT and couldnt figure it out. Tv said scrambled program. -theres no hot tub, just a pool. Same layout as Alpena, MI. Idk why youd make a brand new hotel with a pool but not hot tub. ”

“Quick pass through for one night, but a decent motel. Connected to Whitlows Restaurant which was nice for a quick dinner. ”

“Disappointed that there was nothing for breakfast and I thought there was supposed to be some type of continental. ”

“We arrived at 8pm and the door to check in was locked. So I had to check my email to see if they send me anything about checking in after 3pm. They did. They sent me a code to my room and my room number. We had to log into Netflix with our own account and pray that when we left it logged us out. The parking lot was super small and then it rains it was flooded. The room was clean and nice. I just thought maybe it was going to mini cottages not like a small motel. My friend and I still had a great……

“The room and bathroom need a serious remodel . They also need a good cleaning . I understand that this is a pet friendly room , but isn’t that why we pay $20 a night for (a little extra cleaning) ? I have never stayed in a room without some sort of coffee maker , although they do have coffee in reception area . They categorize this as a no frills hotel , a great description . ”

“The staff were very sweet, the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. If i could say anything, it would be i did not like that the outside looked a little ran down, and the pool was advertised as usable, but looked like it has not been used in a long time”
