"Not Impressed I recently stayed at the La Quinta in Waxahachie, Texas, and honestly, it was a pretty underwhelming experience. I had high hopes given the brand and the area, but the hotel didn’t live up to expectations. The hotel itself felt pretty dumpy. The common areas and hallways looked worn out, and the whole place could use some serious updates. I was looking forward to relaxing by the pool, but it was not clean at all. The water looked cloudy, and there was debris floating around, so I decided to skip swimming altogether. Breakfast was edible, which is about all I can say. The options were basic, and most things were okay, but the bacon was just plain bad—greasy and flavorless. I couldn’t eat it. The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. They seemed disinterested and not really concerned with making guests feel welcome. The one thing I did like about this hotel was the location. It’s in a fantastic spot, close to restaurants, shops, and the highway, which made getting around super easy. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you just need a place to crash and really value convenience above all else."
