“It is hard to imagine a better hotel to stay in for your Gold Country vacation. This is a historic property in the heart of old Grass Valley. The property is very well kept up - possibly even beyond its original splendor. The on site restaurant is probably the best in the area - - we tried several, but none were as good as The Golden Gate Saloon (full bar, lunch and dinner). “This hotel was great. Very cute and comfortable. There was an issue with the AC but the staff was very responsive and helpful. The bowling alley with restaurant was decent and just a short walk there and back. I will definitely stay here again.”

“Management was intrusive and knocked on our door loudly asking to come in and look for a lost key from the previous tenant. That should have been handled before we were given the room. After a long drive, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. I let it slide because I was exhausted, but the experience was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here — look elsewhere”
