"Lovely rooftop bar. Fabulous historic building right in the heart of DTLA / Skid Row adjacent. Comfortable beds w/ nice sheets. Gym is well-equipped. Self-service coin laundry is a huge plus. For the cons: there is a quirky policy where you either have to leave an excessive, IMO, $250 refundable deposit OR skip the deposit for a non refundable $26 fee. It feels like they’re intentionally creating an unnecessary inconvenience just to sell guests a solution to avoid their policy. I also feel that hotel policies with 4pm check in with 11am checkout is a hotel that cuts costs (at the guest’s expense) on house-keeping costs. Hire more staff instead of penalizing guests 2 hours of lodging. Lastly, I really don’t like being woken up at 9am with a “time to get ready to check out” text. I don’t need a wake up call, thank you. But I did need to sleep until 10am."
