“Not an experience we will be repeating”

“This was a very grand hotel at an incredible price. Not just a hotel but an historic estate with grounds to explore, a gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Breakfast was nice with loads of options. We didn't have an evening meal there as the bar food was too expensive for what it was, eg £18 for a pizza, £21 for a burger. We had kids with us and the restaurant menu wasn't suitable for them but we found a nice Italian restaurant just ten mins away in Dorking. Here is why this isn't a 5 star review.……

“Recently built hotel in a strategic location close to shopping areas and restaurants. Breakfast is good. Room cleanliness is inadequate: under the beds there are waste and items left by previous guests. Staff presence is limited. The lounge is essentially unattended throughout the day”

“Very poor experience. I have travelling 3 or 4 times every year for the past 20 years. Except the staff in the front desk and health club showed me welcoming. The waitresses in the restuant made sounds and faces behind me during the buffer breakfast. The waitress even did not know I could order and pay online during dinner. Are they trying to embarass the asian faces? Also smelly and stain in the guest room, no refigerator and safe, what kind of experience could not expected.”
