“Safe and clean, although dated. It was very difficult to get the shower to a safe, comfortable temp, but with some patience, it can be done. The hot tub/spa area is seasonal, which was not advertised. Quiet and comfortable, the room was spacious.”

“Great little mountain retreat! The outdoor area is great— pool, hot tubs, sauna and fire pits. They were much enjoyed after a long day of hiking! The staff was friendly and the Shovel Handle Pub had great food and libations. Would love to go back!”

“Toiletries were useless. Inadequate towels, soap the size of a dime. Bed and pillows awful Cont breakfast consisted of two loaves of opened bread, jam containers not clean and almost empty, a dozens or so of mini donuts in a tupper- ware container,,,,,,at 7 AM coffees was ice cold. No staff available. Their biggest concern is to over charge all guests that have pets. this place has decreased in performance over the years. I will never stay there again.”

“Few properties have an indoor pool and hot tub at this price, so that's a nice perk. Important if you're old and on a multi-day hiking trip. However, the pool is not well maintained. VERY humid in there, locker rooms closed/taped off, like they're actively working on it/doing construction, which was the same when I stayed there a full year ago. Also, I called before booking to ask if it was worth paying extra for the "suite" and was told it has a couch and extra space, so I did pay more for that……

“What a wonderful place to stay near the entrance to the Mt. Washington Auto Road entrance. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms exceptionally clean, and the staff at the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, and wait/bar were all pleasant and did their jobs well. As guests, you felt welcomed and everyone felt like family. We enjoyed the views of the Presidential Range while also enjoying the fire pit and serenity of The Glen House location. We also enjoyed our meals, breakfast……
