“Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended”

“All staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Accommodation and surrounding area looked dark and tired. No air conditioning in rooms however a fan was available to use. Great value for money”

“Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prima voor een overnachting. Tijdens ons verblijf zijn de matrassen vernieuwd. Dat wat wel nodig. De keuken was niet open zodat we naar een ander restaurant moesten uitwijken. Het groene licht was s’nachts irritant. Ontbijt was eenvoudig en goed.”

“Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. “A great, and very well (recently) refurbished Coaching Inn, right in the heart of Frome, with a fab breakfast and helpful friendly staff as well. Having stayed in a few "brewery chain" old coaching inns recently where the "updating" seems to involve only a coat of paint and a new shelf in the bathroom, it was very welcome to find that the rooms (anbd bathrooms) at the George have been completely and professionally re-done to "you'd be very pleased if this was your own house" standard.
