“The pool didn't open until 10am, you have to check out at 11, so you couldn't really get in the pool and get showered and your suit somewhat dried before you had to leave. Most of the surrounding establishments, opened at 10, so if you wanted to get there early, you would have wanted your pool time in early. When I got in my room, there was some hair in my sink, and a dirty towel was left in there. The rest of the hotel seemed clean though and the staff seemed nice.”

“We got off to a bad start because we arrived before the specified 8 pm and no one was there to check us in and no one answered the phone listed on the door. Another guest had phone for manager and she came when he called but it was distressing. Room was pretty clean and very basic. The refrigerator did not work even after we plugged it in. Manager was nice but they do have staffing issues.”

“The Carlisle is a lovely, upscale hotel with a gorgeous 3-story spiral staircase. All the rooms on our side of the building had balconies with chairs overlooking the valley. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is listed as continental, but always has a hot dish as well as boiled eggs and Belgian waffles. Our room was spacious, updated and clean. The bathroom design was unique in that there was a sink, wall-to-wall mirror and countertop in the walk in……

“Noteworthy: check in early and Be sure to book directly with the hotel, not a 3rd party booking site even though for 2 rooms, it was $400 cheaper. I hope our experience was a one-off. We were confronted upon check-in with little slips of paper and numbers to call to deal with a glitch caused by the third party online booking. Some validation of the customer would have been appreciated. A glass of water so I could talk for an hour to try to figure it all out. We were given directions to……
