“Clean room, easy check in, lady checking us in was very friendly and helpful, water and muffins as you check in, good parking, pet friendly, small pool and hot tub. Washer and dryer. Nice city park nearby. Deer behind hotel resting.”

“Fantastic motel”

“The Riverwood Resort is a small, but conveniently located hotel at a reasonable price. Unfortunately our experience was disrupted by a water / sewer problem impacting the hotel building. Staff reacted promptly and were accommodating, Since we chose to move to another hotel, we received a prompt refund for the second night of our 2 night stay.”

“I don’t even know to describe this stay aside from heaven on earth, at least for us. Rooms are fabulous, the setting is wonderful. It’s still being built, that wasn’t an issue for us at all but could be for others. Come with food as it’s very remote but has a wonderful kitchen, there is a small farm shop if you get stuck.”

“This was an adorable place to stay, rustic charm. The breakfast was wonderful and the owners friendly. I will stay there again. So cozy and charming.”

“Every now and then you find a rental at the intersection of charming and perfect. This was one of those situations. I've travelled a lot and this was a unique property. Plenty of useful cookware and supplies, a well-appointed bathroom, and delightful bonus movie room. This was also the first time that I've ever seen chilled beer mugs in a freezer ready to go. I enjoyed perusing the DVD and book collection, but you can also log in to a streaming service. All my needs were met and the……

“Beautiful property and nice shaded trees. The river was great to sit in and it was nice having Paonia only 5 minutes away. If Big B's is having live music next door, you will hear it, but it didn't bother me. George is very nice and a great host as well. Definitely will be coming back.”

“Clean and beds were comfortable. They are using portable heaters so not the warmest but we were not in the cabin much during the day. The view of lake is nice. They forgot to stock extra rolls of toliet paper so we had to go to the lodge to get more. Breakfast is one cereal or instant oatmeal and only available for an hour. The owners were pleasant. They did not respond in the app so you have to call them. ”

“Awesome place, super quiet. Wished it had a small fenced in yard but only a minor inconvenience as I think the owners use the place in the off season. Jason was super pleasant, accommodating and responsive. You won't have a problem here unless you bring it with you.”

“The Best! I am so happy got to stay in spacious, comfortable private room connected to nice house. The view from my room was wonderful with mountains distance and great location for visiting the spectacular north rim of Black Canyon National Park ! There is not much to do with almost no eating options close by, but I cooked food in full kitchen, The owner left essentials including coffee maker and coffee as well as some food items such as instant oatmeal and cereal (and even eggs in……

“Breakfast was good. Nicely prepared and seeved. They mentioned a fresh baked good to go with breakfast on Website. This did not happen for our stay”

“Loved the views!”

“Beautiful Place - I'd recommend bringing binoculars though... lots of wildlife to view! We saw prairie dogs, mule deer and turkey!”

“It is a very cute little place. Perfect for our stay. The cinnamon rolls were GREAT! How thoughtful! Thank you. We will definitely stay there again.”

“Very clean, had everything needed. Wonderful and helpful hosts. Pet friendly.”
