“The access to the front door was walking from the road, that was uphill from the cabin, down a big boulder..no steps to get down to the cabin. it had a futon that looked 30 yrs worn, no padding in the cushion. the steps up to the beds were extremely steep and dangerous.. no back boards on the steps, like walking a steep ladder. we can do steps... but this was ridiculous. tried to request a different cabin, They were so low staffed, that only one person was assigned cleaning all the……

It’s still being built, that wasn’t an issue for us at all but could be for others. Come with food as it’s very remote but has a wonderful kitchen, there is a small farm shop if you get stuck.”

“Every now and then you find a rental at the intersection of charming and perfect. This was one of those situations. I've travelled a lot and this was a unique property. Plenty of useful cookware and supplies, a well-appointed bathroom, and delightful bonus movie room. This was also the first time that I've ever seen chilled beer mugs in a freezer ready to go. “Awesome place, super quiet. Wished it had a small fenced in yard but only a minor inconvenience as I think the owners use the place in the off season. Jason was super pleasant, accommodating and responsive. You won't have a problem here unless you bring it with you.”

“What a wonderful place. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything! There were so many thoughtful things such as snacks in the fridge and a variety of soaps in the bathroom. The view was beautiful as well.”

“Beautiful property and nice shaded trees. The river was great to sit in and it was nice having Paonia only 5 minutes away. If Big B's is having live music next door, you will hear it, but it didn't bother me. George is very nice and a great host as well. Definitely will be coming back.”

“Clean and beds were comfortable. They are using portable heaters so not the warmest but we were not in the cabin much during the day. The view of lake is nice. They forgot to stock extra rolls of toliet paper so we had to go to the lodge to get more. Breakfast is one cereal or instant oatmeal and only available for an hour. The owners were pleasant. They did not respond in the app so you have to call them. ”
