“This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”
“The room was clean and tidy, however when we stayed last year we had bottles of water in our room but this was not the case this time, I brought my own last year but didn't this year as I thought that bottles of water would be in our room. I also requested an extra pillow as the 2 pillows I had were flat, reception made a note of this but the pillow never arrived.
Staff were all very welcoming, helpful and pleasant.
Breakfast was lovely with a variety of breakfast choices available. the……
“The curtains within Room 222 were far too long and were a health and safety hazard especially for the elderly generation. Bathroom fan did not operate within said room. The Queen size bed mattress was very lumpy and needs to be replaced. On Sunday 30th August 2026 I organised Sunday lunch for five persons, 3 of my relatives and my wife and I. I felt embarassed with the overall meal which was totally overcooked especially the roast potatoes and the Yorkshire puddings. I paid the bill but the……
“Great little find. Really lovely stay and the staff were so helpful and friendly which was lovely. The property is well maintained and very clean, We had a double room with a comfortable, king sized bed and a modern bathroom with an great shower. The food was tasty, well proportioned and we ate in the restaurant for all three nights of our stay. Breakfast was good and lots of choice too. We would highly recommend The Old Mill.”
“Sorry to give such a bad rating because the hotel was fine. The issue was a wedding that had a loud disco and noisy drunk guests until midnight. I only got to sleep properly about 1am and was shattered for the next 2 days, it was a long drive there and back to get to the hotel and I was on a paid course so not a good experience.”
