"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. "Air-conditioning in the room wasn't working in all rooms in the hotel on a day that was 34 degrees. Staff blamed the high temperature for reducing the effectiveness of the Air-conditioning system. Next day was a more manageable 24 degrees celsius and still inoperable air conditioning in the rooms. Absolutely unacceptable. The least a guest deserves in a hotel is comfort. Better invest in a proper Air-conditioning system before the business is run to the ground."
