“This is a very comfortable and pleasant stop. The outside of the building and the parking lot could definitely use some attention and the pool is inoperable, but the room was big, clean, and comfortable. The attendants were very friendly. They provided bottled water due to a local boil-water advisory. There are a couple of restaurants within less than a mile. I'll definitely stay there again when passing through Hiawatha.”

“What a beautiful building! The history there is fascinating and the owner has taken very well care of this beauty. For me, I am old-school and if it’s a bed-and-breakfast, then I think you should assume that you were getting served breakfast. I don’t eat croissants so for me I had to go out and find breakfast. “My Place was very nice. Breakfast is not served but discounts for IHOP are available. Many restaurants and shops are within .5 of a mile. Refrigerator, toaster, and two electric stove plates and microwave are in room. Also a recliner in room.”
