At check in we were told they were unable to make room keys, but someone would be able to let us into our room with a master key. We were told this has been an issue for multiple weeks. If we would have known this ahead of time, we would have booked a different hotel. On top of this, there were a lot of corners cut with cleaning. I'm not a super neat freak, but I was very unimpressed. Nothing was overtly very dirty, but there was crumbs and dirt in corners and hard to reach places, and that general unclean feeling in the room. The Hotel also seems like it has been renovated from a much older building, which is fine, but not what we wanted. We unfortunately did not use our better judgement and stayed one night. We were supposed to stay another night, but could not imagine staying any longer. When we tried to get a refund for our second night, we were denied. This hotel seems like its very nice and upgraded and for the price seems like it should be better than a motel, but definitely more motel than hotel. The hotel staff we did encounter were plenty pleasant and kind, but we could not get over no key cards and the cleanliness.
