"The breakfasts are ample and served by the plate--quite good, with fruit. We ate one evening meal--again quite good with a very tender filet mignon. The staff (especially Michael) love their town and represent it well; the guide (Robert Terry) to the Vicksburg Battlefield they recommended is personally known to them and did a great job. The owners are quite young and locally prominent. Quite well done, all in all."

"Elizabeth gave some dining options, and we went to 10 Sout5h Rooftop Bar and Grill. The pork chop dinner was the BEST I ever had! Had dinner the night before at Walnut Hills, a true southern comfort experience. The property has historic details that are incredible. Some aging deterioration, but with 115 years of existence, I would too! The pool was a pleasant relief, and the room was spacious with a modern shower/bathroom. Breakfast was delicious both days, and fun to interact with Staff and guests."

"The location was really nice with the river directly adjacent to this property. I spent a fair amount of time outside soaking up the atmosphere. We didn't even know there was a pool there until we went romping around Vicksburg later in the day and came back to explore. It didn't look terrible, but could use a cleaning. Ironically, Days Inn's seem to have the best beds we sleep on when doing cross country trips, even when trying more expensive options. The only real ding was not having a breakfast available the following morning, which has been a given in other Days Inn properties we've stayed in. Not even a pot of coffee. The rooms were clean but a little beat up. Not terrible again, but we took pictures of offending finish work and the bathrooms to make sure we weren't blamed, as there were lots of rough edges and a hole behind the door on arrival. "

"This property was everything we were expecting and more! It was such a beautiful, historic home but also provided plenty of room for my husband and me, our three married kids and spouses and 7 grandkids! The property manager was also great and provided all we needed with the promise of being close for any unexpected items. Our only regret is that we didn't plan an extra day to just relax and enjoy being together! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!! "

"Great views; easily accessible to downtown shopping, restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this property. The bed was comfortable, and the tubs and showers were great. All kitchen amenities were available. there are 2 flights of stairs to climb with luggage just FYI."

"Posting so that anyone looking to rent this camper is aware. Camper is not as advertised in the photos. HOT- A/C does not meet the needs of this camper. Rotten floors, no TV, no internet, awning torn up. Your neighbor will park vehicles at the front door. Do NOT book for a nice get away. Go elsewhere. "

"We had a nice stay in the Lily Pad! The kids loved running around through the maze of doors. It was fun to have the deck out over the water. We all slept comfortably. It is right next to the highway and that made me a little nervous with my little kids so I made sure I was very aware of where they were. "
