Kailua-Kona Condominium Resorts to Rent

"We booked this location due to its proximity to the various snorkel experience offices (e.g., Sea Quest). Being able to walk to the dock (5~10 min) was great given lack of parking near the dock right before Manta ray night snorkel experience. Being able to walk back to the hotel after being in the water was great as well. Hotel itself had amazing kids pool and separate adult pool. Overall, I will stay here again if I come back to Kona. Only minor points: Night time Manta viewing terrace was under construction. Pico breakfast buffet could serve better variety for $37 per person. "

"We arrived at 11:30 am which is too early to check in. However, we were able to get our room at that time. Unfortunately, the room had not been cleaned properly especially the bathroom which was gross. Staff was very responsive and offered to change the room or clean it again. As we had already unpacked (done before discovering the bathroom issue) we opted to keep the room. We were comped all breakfasts and parking for the duration of our stay (10 days). Hotel staff was great during our stay."

"I stay at the Royal Kona Resort every time I visit the Big Island. It is a throwback to the 1970s but that is why I love it so much. My favorite features: waterfalls and Koi gardens and tiki statues by the front entrance as well as the spectacular views from Don the Beachcomber bar and restaurant while listening to spectacular live music."

"Very nice, centrally located facility.Most, "down town", touristy things,are easily in walking distance. Staff are excellent.Rooms are nice and clean.Fitness room is small,but functional.On site laundry consists of two washers and two dryers.Breakfast area is very nice,and in 6 days,we never repeated a menu, different everyday."

"We had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and responsive with recommendations for the island. Location was fantastic near a snorkelling beach. We stayed in the Surfer Room which had a separate bathroom to go through the outside, it wasn’t bad but something to keep in mind. Overall a great stay! A reminder there is no AC."

"I would not stay there again. There is no central air conditioning. That was not mentioned on property description. The office is only open for a minimal amount of Hrs. They want you to throw out your own trash. The bed mattress were hard and uncomfortable. Will not stay there again. Ever"

"Decent place to stay, but hidden fees that are not advertised, like $25 for parking a car and a separate $25 "convenience fee" ... for coffee in the morning??"

"The room was cool and quiet. Parking was easy and there was always a spot available. The condo had a TV and Wi-Fi and games available to play. Having a full kitchen was nice to be able to buy groceries and not eat out every night. The pool and hot tub across the street were excellent and the staff was friendly."
