“Budget option and you get what you pay for. Room is small and there’s not really anywhere to store clothes or your items. Brilliant if you want a place to come back to at night and will spend most of your day out as the room is clean and location is great. Would definitely recommend if you’re there to explore the island. Staff were nice and helpful. Chickens a bit loud at night but you get used to it. Aircon was great. Water station at reception was really helpful.”

“My wife and I stayed at Aston Islander on the Beach for our honeymoon, making this trip especially meaningful. While the location is excellent, several issues impacted our stay.
Upon arrival, we did not receive the advertised shell lei greeting and had to request it after seeing other guests receive one. We also booked an oceanfront room but were assigned a room that appeared to be ocean view, despite being told it qualified as oceanfront.

Staff talked too fast, too quiet, marked up a map in a sloppy, not helpful way so we roamed the property before having to ask for help. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated.
