“Great hotel in central location with comfortable room. Immaculately clean everywhere. Lovely rooftop pool, excellent spa facilities with indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Breakfast choices and.service were very good with fabulous fruit every day and tasty fresh egg dishes. Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening. So convenient for all sights, dining and shopping. Would definitely visit again. ”

“L'hotel annoncé 5 étoiles n'est pas au standard des 5 étoiles européens. C'est propre, grand et avec un bon service mais c'est quand même bien dans son jus. La piscine intérieure est très fatiguée et mérite une vraie rénovation. Le petit dej offre du choix mais avec une qualité un peu passe partout. Le gros soucis c'est le parking qui est annoncé à l"hotel mais qui est minuscule et donc nous n'avons quasiment jamais réussi à avoir une place et on a du se débrouiller pour se garer dans la rue. “Zowel bij check-in als check-out was het duidelijk dat men luever niets deed dan een gast verwelkomen. Zuchten, eerst papieren blijven schuiven en omvriendelijkheid all over the place. Dat is jammer, want een goed hotel met ruime kamers, donker en met uitstkende bedden en overig personeel heel aardig. Je moet wel vam Engelse bejaarden houden :-)”

“Our third visit to this hotel and as usual it was excellent. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a nice walk, mostly downhill, to the centre of Funchal or there is a frequent and reliable bus service which stops a hundred metres from the front door. Breakfast has everything you’d want and although we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening it was an option and there are plenty of quality and affordable restaurants nearby. ”
