“The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Overall a very clean and lovely setting to relax for the few days we were in town to visit Williamsburg. Very easily walkable distance (about 10 minute walk with sidewalks all the way) to downtime Colonial Williamsburg. Free to visit town, but you will need tickets for events and attractions. Stayed here over July 4th and crowds not an issue at all.”

It you’re interested in spending time in colonial Williamsburg, this hotel shares a parking lot with the visitor center where the shuttle picks up for the historical area. It’s a cute sprawling hotel tucked away in the woods and the overall attempt at theming was nice. Yes the beds are only double beds but we fit just fine. ”

“This might be the cleanest property I’ve ever seen. The whole place is beautiful. They also have a little internet lounge area and a fitness room with decent equipment. They have a lovely outdoor pool and hot tub area. The room was amazing. It was like a little one-bedroom apartment and the master bathroom was nicer than mine at home! It looks like they keep up with renovations regularly and invest in maintainable whereas a lot of big chain hotel franchises seem to not care anymore. ”

"The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t mention anything about it, even though I was traveling with kids. Starting as early as 6 a.m., guests began walking around for breakfast, some trying to open the emergency exit—which triggered a loud alarm. The real issue started after 7 a.m, when the emergency exit began functioning as a regular door. Guests continuously came in and out, causing the door to slam shut every 2–3 minutes. The loud banging made it impossible to rest. It was truly exhausting and disrupted our rest completely. Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the main reasons to stay at a nice hotel, and sadly, that didn’t happen here. All in all, this property is ok—but if you're assigned room 126, 128, or any room near the emergency exit, request a room change to avoid a similar experience. "
