9/10 Wonderful! (1,638 reviews)
This property is an old fashioned, 3 story motel (outdoor access to rooms) which has been renovated w/ wood laminate floors, vessel sinks (bowl on counter), trackless glass shower doors, & lamps with USB charging capability. The night staff person was friendly, even at almost midnight when we checked in. The beds are comfortable & there are 2 pillow options on the bed during our 1 night stay, 1 being a feather pillow. The bed is covered w/ 2 sheets over a fluffy duvet, like full service hotels. The bathroom towels are a good absorbent cotton, & the tiles in the bathroom were clean w/ no mildew stains. The breakfast was basic w/ biscuits, gravy, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled egg patties, fresh cut oranges & make your own waffles. Coffee was hot & good. This property is conveniently located near I-75 & a newer built part of Ocala, w/ lots of stores & restaurants within driving distance. The property is more affordable than other local options, & I would stay there again, though I do have some suggestions for management.
First, I can easily see that this property is nicely upgraded and emulates the new trend in basic hotels with simple amenities and nice touches. One place where the stay fell short is the bed linens. I would suggest the owners invest in a higher thread count sheet on the bed as people are there to sleep & this is a huge focus for most people. Also consider adding real butter & oatmeal to breakfast. Lastly stop people from smoking in middle social area.
