7.2/10 Good! (1,596 reviews)
We stayed there for 1 night because we were going to an event at the Arena which is around the corner. The location was good. The woman that checked us in was super nice and helpful. Close to restaurants and the train (if you need it). The bed was not terrible but the blanket was not warm. We asked for an additional blanket that we had to go pick up at the front desk and it was just as flimsy as the one on the bed. I was cold most of the night because the air was blowing right on me and the slats on the a/c-heat didn't move. For a king bed, there were two standard sized pillows and a fake "throw" pillow. The lobby had a "store" but didn't sell anything useful to me. No shower cap, no razors sold at said store...nothing. Because the hotel is located in the heart of the city, there was a lot of noise from outside. Sirens etc. Walls were pretty thin too. Room came with continental breakfast that was ok. I didn't eat anything there, but my husband did and said it tasted awful. Best part of the stay was the proximity to The Russel - a restaurant - and from our room, we had a fabulous view of the Capitol building. If cost is your driver for choosing a place to stay in Hartford near the arena it's ok...but I might have spent the extra money to stay somewhere else a little nicer.
