“The common area of the lodge I liked. They had a nice mountain vibe and seemed clean. I ate once at the bar and that was quite tasty and the staff there was friendly. The issue was with my room. Very stained carpet and wallpaper. And the room had an overwhelming musty or dusty quality to the air. Perhaps coming from the air conditioner? It was causing me serious breathing problems so I had to cut my 3 night stay to just 1 night. The staff was understanding of me needing to check out early due……

“There is a kitchenette in each room which is quite retro and unique in the fact that they cannot be found anymore. Ours was in excellent shape! It is a 2 burner (electric) stove / sink / refrigerator combination. It was really fun! The facility was quite retro if you are into that kind of thing. It is older but very clean and everything works. It was quiet and very conveniently located that puts one within walking distance to all the old town shops. Also, it was right across the street……

“Two bed/two bath townhome in the Spur Landing area of Cloudcroft. Easy to find, near the golf course, pretty quiet. Park at the front door. No A/C (you are at 9000 feet) but there are ceiling fans and tower fans, in case the afternoon gets warm. Firewood is provided for the fireplace. Wifi worked flawlessly.
