“Advertised there was a pool as the first amenity- the indoor pool finally opened halfway through the stay but took another few days to heat up and all feels very unfinished. The outdoor pool isn’t coming until 2027!! They were still laying turf with builders all over and no loungers available for entirety of my stay. Hotel is far from finished yet Great views from the fourth floor room with terrace (but lift isn’t installed yet, so lots of stairs to climb!). Staff lovely”

“This is a very busy property and we felt the need of more immediate attention to our needs. This is not a property to be negotiated by the elderly. We had suitcases. We wished we had some prior notice/suggestion to repackage our necessities for portage down the hill from the car park to the property. The charm of this place is offset by the difficulty accessing it. We loved the views, the side alleys and the architecture but this is not a walkable venue for anyone with hip, knee or foot……

“This place is so great. I would stay here every time I vacationed to Cornwall. Very clean, superbly decorated, has most everything you need. Some of the touches were truly luxurious like the sky lights, windows and doors. There’s even a wine fridge. Dean and Stephen did a remarkable job with the renovations. Location is a little remote from Newquay but only about 15 minutes or so from town and good beaches. We liked that it was off the beaten path. Roads there are narrow as all hell, but well……

“We had a lovely stay here, the lock wasn’t working from the outside but was fixed within half an hour, brilliant! Beds are comfortable and the sofa. A good size cottage the bathroom was abit tight but there are public showers on site aswell would definitely come back here. There’s a park on site aswell, laundry room a bar and reception are very helpful. I did have to drive to places Harlyn beach has calmer sea and was beautiful, few minutes drive away and treyarnon rock pool beach also a few……

“Fantastic stay. On arrival met by staff who showed us around. Pet friendly with dog walking field at the back. We stayed in Primrose tent. It was lovely. We suffered a weather emergency which was no fault of the owners, however they went above and beyond to fix the issue. Lovely and well equipped kitchen. Could not fault our stay!”

“Fab place, no cars and feels really special with gorgeous grounds and lots of space. The pod was clean, bed and bedsheets clean and crisp. Enough pots, plates, cutlery etc to manage and spacious. Toilet/shower was clean with good water pressure. We had a really lovely stay and would highly recommend. 2 adults and 2 tweens, they slept on fishermen padded camp beds.”
