"I recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for such a special occasion. One of the main reasons I chose this property was for its on-site dining and bar options, which were advertised as key amenities. I was really looking forward to a convenient, relaxing celebration without having to leave the hotel. However, upon arrival, I discovered that all of the hotel’s bars and restaurants were closed due to a private kosher event—and there had been no prior notice given to guests. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the reason for our stay. What was supposed to be a special, stress-free birthday celebration quickly turned into a scramble to find last-minute dining options elsewhere. This lack of communication was both frustrating and inconvenient. After a long day, the last thing we wanted to do was leave the hotel to search for food and drinks. It completely disrupted the plans I had in mind for celebrating my boyfriend. While I respect the hotel’s decision to host private events and accommodate specific dietary or cultural needs, it should not come at the expense of other guests’ experiences—especially without any advance warning. A simple notification before arrival or at the time of booking would have made a huge difference. Overall, the stay felt poorly managed due to this oversight. "The room wasn’t that clean, the shower was clogged 24/7 even after calling two people over to fix it. There was blood stains on our sheets which we had to get removed as well as some sort of stains on the shower curtain. I have photo images of everything and it was pretty gross."

"My partner and I stayed in the Upper Stories where we were granted our request for a Mountain View facing the steeper San Jacinto mountains on the West side. It was definitely worth it and special thanks to Concierge Verne for looking out on this request. One drawback: no bar service at the pool for Upper Stories (no plan to bring it back anytime soon either according to my convo with bar at Lola Rose) so we basically only did the Main pool which was the most spectacular and scenic experience, but get there early like 9-10 am early to save seats Thi-Sat. Sun was more mellow and seats do open up again around 3. Everything from the DJs on Saturday and Sunday to the bartenders and servers and manager Maurice was just top notch. Big props to Abel who took such great care of us over our 5 day stay. Really the service here was like icing on the cake and the entire stay exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend. If you’re torn between Upper Stories and main areas, the Main resort has rooms with great views too just not as many to my knowledge. If you can get a view in the main area, take the energy unless you just want totally quiet do Upper Stories. Pool there is great if you plan to be sober or want to carry Togo cups back and forth from the Lola Rose bar just a short walking distance away. Oh and food btw, really damn good. Nice selection of pool side bites. Lola Rose was great for quick pre-drinks and healthy apps before dinner and Bar Issi downstairs has the best happy hour. "
