"Cons first. The palm court Italian restaurant was awful. The waitress was wonderful but the food was horrible. Zero flavor, overcooked, or bad tasting. I cannot stress enough do not waste your money. Rooms. While great size the walls are extremely thin. We could hear EVERYTHING. Made sleep difficult. Elevators were always not working. We were on the 7th floor so we needed to use them but if I wasn’t I would have never touched them again Lastly, be prepared to pay for a lot. I recommend stopping at a store or a Instacart to help with expenses. Tip. There are white boxes by the beaches. Families will leave sand and pool toys there when they leave. Just borrow no need to buy any. Pros: The most family friendly resort I have been to ever. There is so much to do for kids. Feeding the ducks, paddle boats, crafts, movies, smores, and endless beach and pool. There was not a moment of boredom even possible. We just went as a family of 3 and it was amazing. Beach was beautiful and clean. Water crystal clear. RumFish grill is fantastic! Easily best meal. Bitsro was pretty good and a solid staple. "

"For premium price paid the rooms were very outdated. Shower was very poor. The beach and lounge chairs were perfect. The kids working the beach are great. Bartenders by pool very slow an seemed annoyed when bar was busy. For a pool area with many kids present at 10 am the DJ played rap music as loud as he could a couple days. Seemed odd for family resort. Maid service done a great job. Firepits good."

"Convenient Airport Location, But Quirky Bathroom Design We stayed at the Kompose Boutique Hotel right by Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) — the location was perfect for our needs. The hotel is completely non-smoking, which we really liked. Smokers have to go outside through the gates, so the building and rooms stayed completely smoke-free. Our room was clean and modern, but the bathroom layout was not very practical. The sink is located right in the bedroom area (just a couple feet from the bed), and the shower/toilet area uses a single sliding door that moves back and forth to cover either the shower or the toilet — you can’t have privacy for both at the same time. It felt cramped and awkward to use. The rate seemed a bit expensive for a 3-star boutique hotel with this kind of setup. Breakfast was included (or available) and was just okay — nothing special, but it worked for a quick morning meal. Overall, we liked that the hotel was clean and super convenient to the airport. It served its purpose for a short overnight stay, but the unusual bathroom design and higher price kept it from feeling like great value. Would we stay again? Maybe for a quick airport stop, but we’d probably shop around for something more practical next time."
