"Although I believe very old structures (and possibly government owned) the furnishings are very nice and of good quality and modern. The fixtures of the room are original but well maintained and for example great pressure and heat in the shower. A much more luxury experience than I was expecting based on the motel/cabin looking exterior and rugged environment and date of the property. The property amenities were good. A tavern and a cafeteria+ style restaurant. It’s also very close to the General Store Market/Grocery store for other provision and great access to the Blue Line Bus Network. We spent most evenings though at the restaurants along the rim. Check-in staff were very helpful and amenable. There were also self-service check-in kiosks if you happen to time your arrival along with the multiple tour buses arriving. The parking is great - and a huge contrast to the resorts along the rim where parking was a real struggle. Thanks for the stay."

"The staff were nice, and helpful. The rooms were clean and offered good space. We ate a little late at the Saloon tavern. Stephen was a great server. The food was very good. Definitely convenient to driving to the Grand Canyon."

"The room was simple and small but met our needs, except that the sink did not drain. Only the trash was cleared on our second day — no bed making or other tidying. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, though pricy, and reservations far in advance are usually needed. The location is excellent and well worth the stay."
