“Starting with the positive, this hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hotel is so dated and smells bad. We had to change rooms because the smell of mildew was overwhelming. They have done a cosmetic renovation which looks nice on the surface, however the bones of the hotel are dilapidated. Chipped paint in the rooms, old furniture, bad smells. Crumbs on the floor from previous guest and I didn’t dare walk on the carpet without shoes.……

“During our stay in Room 1606, we experienced a serious issue that significantly affected the quality of our stay. Of the two bedrooms in the suite, the bedroom closest to the entrance had an air vent located directly above the bed. The constant noise from the vent was loud throughout the day. Even more concerning, however, was that at night we could hear conversations from the neighboring room through the vent with remarkable clarity. We were able to hear their voices almost word for word, which……

All the staff at Barony Beach was so helpful and friendly. We honestly could have not even left the resort walls and been incredibly happy, but the ease of renting bikes and the location of the resort allowed for easy exploration of the island. Even with cooler weather, the heated pools ensured we got plenty of water and……
