“I have stayed at Los Corales several times(locally called The Tortuga). It is a nice clean place with a helpful staff. One thing to make sure to ask to get a room on the back side of the hotel. The rooms which face the road do have some traffic noise which may or may not be a problem depending on what you are used to. It is not excessive but I am from a rural area and just not used to it. “I booked this hotel for a week. It’s almost an hour from the airport. Not very much around it. It’s a beautiful resort. The food was very good. HOWEVER, due to the location there is a big bug issue. Mosquitos, sand fleas and biting gnats. It was so bad we couldn’t even spend time outside. Despite the fact we put on bug repellent. We ended up being in the room more often, and there were a lot of bugs in the room as well. Mosquitos, biting gnats and roaches. I am covered in bites from head to toe.……

“Our room was located in the Castle. Very unique and super cool. The location of the resort is perfect. There’s only 1 dining option on the resort, but you can easily walk down the beach and find other things. The staff was awesome. My main complaint is housekeeping didn’t change our sheets during our 4 night stay. I will book there again!”
