We liked the property and the location. We were not expecting to have a mini fridge. The mini fridge limited what we could keep in the room. The beach was quiet. Still lots of devastation from the hurricane. We visited shops and some had been open just a couple of months. We did enjoy our trip. If you visit this area try to support these shops and businesses.

Really great family getaway

We will be back. Wonderful Property with comfort and fun amenities. It was perfect, even though the hurricanes had left the property with clean up and maintenance. Great property manager!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay in Longboat key. The property was exactly as pictured and the pool was nice and warm! Extremely Private beach just steps away. We used the grills and enjoyed the sunsets. We would definitely come back to this property again!

Lovely Long Boat Key

Lovely place

I loved being at the Cabana Beach club....it was just me and it was absolutely perfect. A very short walk to the beach and only a .5 mile walk to Harry's corner store for necessities. The unit was very nice and very clean. The ceiling fans could use a dusting but truly, it was a lovely place to stay.

Good place for 2

This place was exactly how it was described. I don’t know how 4 people would stay there. It is small, but was perfect for my husband and I. We enjoy eating out so a big kitchen wasn’t necessary for us. Great location close to the beach. Very clean and location on Longboat was great! It was a quiet spot for us to relax. Definitely recommend!!

Perfect beachfront getaway!

We loved this unit & all it had to offer. Only downside was lack of a king size bed being that we are taller people. Otherwise, the location & amenities were perfect! Everything was included even beachfront loungers, beach umbrellas, & beach towels. I would definitely stay here again & rent a larger unit with my family.

Good location almost on the beach

This one bedroom efficiency is in a good location the property is on the beach but the unit is near the pool and parking area. It is an easy walk to the beach we where back and forth many times. It has a nice screened in porch with table and chairs. The unit has bed covering, and window treatments that need to be replaced as they are a bit worn out. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave with community grills on the property. Over all a clean comfortable unit that met our needs. The easy access to the beach is certainly the key for this unit.

Great 4th!

Check in was so easy! Just pick up keys and go. The condo as a little smaller than I expected, but it worked wonderfully. There were three of us for a long weekend. The condo was very clean. We loved the closeness to the pool and beach. The beach area was clean and quiet. We actually had a manatee swim right up to us! We were able to go to local restaurants and shops. The only suggestion I would make is to have a serving bowl and serving tray. When we bbqed it would have been nice to carry things to the grill in one trip. Thank you for having us! We loved the stay! I hope to stay again.

Location is great but this unit is terrible

This unit is very poorly maintained. Could not close the bathroom door and the shower door was broken but we could take showers. The unit is very poorly equipped. Hardly any silverware. The air conditioner is noisy and keeps going on and off . Bottom of vanity was broken, blinds did not work in living room. Would not stay here again unless they did some maintenance.

Escape on Longboat Key

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE enjoyed our stay at Cabana Beach Club"We enjoyed our stay at Cabana Beach Club. We prefer smaller complexes and this was the perfect size. The condo was clean and in good condition. The unit is located next to parking lot and swimming pool. We had a family staying above us and we never heard them at all. The complex was clean and maintained nicely. Our only issue is the split unit AC is located in the bedroom, right next to the bed. The unit is noisy which makes sleeping difficult and you can't shut the bedroom door if someone is using the sofa bed because they would not get any AC.The beach is beautiful and a 1 minute walk from condo. There are some good restaurants and a little market near by and we thought the location was ideal. Overall we thought the property was great.

Clean by pool good for two people

Well, I’ll start with the good. The place was spotless and literally 8 steps from the pool which was nice. You can’t see the beach due to a large structure in front of the unit. The grills and grill area was nice. The not so good, at least for me. Hardly any WiFi or Verizon signal. Basic cable ( nice TV’s though. The bed was comfy, but the large hotel type air conditioning unit is literally by your head when you sleep...... it’s noisy The refrigerator is small ( under counter) no problem for me except that you cannot make any ice. If you are going to eat meals out, this place works, otherwise forget it. No stovetop or oven. The canal units are across the street but you can sit at the canal and fish. It’s dark at night, so leave the lanai light on if you are going out otherwise you will have a hard time finding the correct key.

Good renovation, cheap doors and BUGS

As said, the renovation was done well. Cute little place; however, there was only a thin door separating our condo from the condo next door and we could hear everything, which means they could hear everything. It made it feel less private and honestly, a little cheap. Also, there were these little bugs everywhere. Not sure exactly what they were - mites, gnats - but they were all over the sink and counter tops, they got into the food and the trash and just everything. Really unclean feeling and have never had this issue anywhere else we’ve ever stayed in Florida. The last negative was the air conditioning unit. It was so old or so broken because it made so much noise as it turned on and off. I wouldn’t normally complain about that but it was right next to the bed, which made it really difficult to sleep. Other positives, the lanai was nice and ideal location for the beach - one minute walk from the condo.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Positives: Great location and spacious for two persons. Negatives: The RVA website advertises; "The attention to detail, from the manicured grounds, will be evident from the moment you arrive." We did not find this to be true. On the interior (& Lanai), the essentials such as counters, sinks, and toilets were clean; however, the remainder needs a deep cleaning. There is a mixture of sand and 'dust-bunnies' around corners and edges in all the rooms. White window frames and glass need a thorough cleaning. The shower floor tile grout is in poor condition. The refrigerator was sticking out well past the counter. It wouldn't slide in, so I pulled it out to find unfinished tile causing the refrig. legs to catch. I used a little lift muscle and set it right. Judging from the dirty floor then exposed, it had been like that for a long time. The adjoining unit common door is not sound insulated. We love babies, but not their crying at 3:00 am like they're in the room with us. Was too soft for us, but good quality. On the exterior, the website pictures show fresh paint. It must be an old picture. The buildings are in need of fresh paint and a solid cleaning of the white shutters to get the grime off. The downspout clip, visible while sitting on the Lanai, is broken and just hanging. Although some newer plantings are attended to and beautiful, most of the plants need trimming and TLC. Some dead palms were hanging in some of the trees. The wood fence that separates the RVA property to the south is missing a board and looks tired. It is leaning from pressure from the overgrown plantings. The nice sandy driveway has potholes in it at the entry point to the Gulf Blvd. The air conditioning units are old-style and loud when they cycle on/off. Investing in some new quieter heat pump units would be a huge improvement and save energy costs. Overall, this place has great potential, but it currently feels neglected and not as well maintained as other LBK properties.

Understanding , kindness ???

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Due to medical reason, that appear 2 days before ( hospitalization) my reservation I had to cancel, it was easy with the rental for the car, easy for my plane ticket, even with the hotel that I had for the night before my reservation at Cabana Beach, but even with a note from the doctor, I could received a remboursement from RVA...So very disappointed by the lack of understanding , comprehension, or open mind from RVA. I am a regular visitor at Cabana beach( from the last 15 year), I loved this place, but I use to rent directly with a owner.
