"Staff was great. Breakfast was excellent. We especially enjoyed being able to sit on the back porch. The room did have a smell; it's obvious that it's a pet-friendly hotel. Beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the luxury of having a separate bedroom and living area."

"The lodge property is old time rustic, which was what we were looking for in the mountains. We made good use of the kitchenette in our room. Sauna, large hot tub and large indoor pool were very clean and relaxing. We will visit again and bring our grandsons next time. Authentic vintage North Carolina lodge."

"Great size place for our quick mountain getaway. John was quick to message back and helpful. The only thing I wish we had known (maybe we missed it in the listing / reviews) was that the bedroom does not have AC, only heat. While the fan in the room was very helpful, AC would have been much more comfortable. The place is quite convenient to all the places we were visiting."
