“The first room we were given had an issue with the headboard coming off of the wall. We were moved to another room that smelled like cigarette smoke and had a broken air conditioning unit. Worst night sleep of my life. ”

“Very disappointing experience at Embassy Suites East Peoria Riverfront Hotel. I chose this hotel because of the high ratings, but the room cleanliness was unacceptable. Before I could even put my belongings away, I noticed thick dust all over the outside and inside of the closet door, the bathroom counter, and even the tissue box. “Do not stay here! The manager/staff/owner of the franchise are terrible to their guests and also bigots who make assumptions about people based on race. Within seconds of an interaction with my (black) husband, the manager threatened to call the police after sternly and aggressively asking “what’s your room #?” Instead of a “good morning, how are you” or “how did you sleep” as you’re getting coffee and wiping sleep out of your eyes, “WHATS YOUR ROOM #, I’m calling the police”… like……
