“The main thing was it was clean and that was great. The room was small but had a fridge and microwave so it worked for us. We liked the price more than anything so we could afford to stay longer. Knowing what we paid, we didn’t expect anything that we didn’t get. “I didn’t like the carpets in the bedroom at all. They were “yucky,” as my daughter would say 😂. They definitely looked old and worn out. I understand that this is a historic hotel, but the carpet just didn’t feel comfortable to walk on with your bare feet without thinking about past spills or incidents. The room also had a smell. Not necessarily a dirty smell, but more like that old, closed-in air smell. You do get used to it after being in the room for a while, but personally, I would not……
