Found this park by accident. On a HUGE lake outside of Mount Dora. Has a real train people can ride for a price. During the holidays people take a ride on the train and Santa makes an appearance! Very cool for kids of all ages, even adults. Park has water park in summer, playground open year round and much much more!
They say that Tavares, FL is the Seaplane Capitol of the World. Don't know about that, but it certainly is fun.

Overall it was a good stay. Unfortunately, the bedding and couch had dog and/or cat hair all over it; which made for a bad time for my daughter whom is allergic to both. Thankfully I bring my own sheets. Fridge was not cleaned behind the handles, so I was grabbing onto sticky dried up food.

A couple boutiques or galleries would be sweet. Nearby Mount Dora satisfies that need although a few stores who have opened back up wouldn’t let us in w/o masks. We know the truth in #’s of Covid victims and truth of respiratory damage. We get it!

Greatly improved since we started coming here almost 20 years ago. The waterfront is spectacular. It would be nice if money was available to home owners adjacent to this area to be used to clean up their yards, or "freshen" up the exterior.

Other than the one hotel the rest of Tavares was nice, if you get a chance eat at the 441 Diner.
