“Tangipahoa Parish had everything my family needed while we were visiting the area. The property was clean and had all the space my family needed for a comfortable stay. We were visiting family in the area and being able to come back to our own space with small children made the trip even better. “The host was great and responsive, however the units just need some TLC. One unit had not been cleaned. It smelled of cigarette smoke and one of the bed’s linens had not been washed. Cleaning services came out to replace the sheets within 30 minutes, so that was good. But the smoke smell was bad enough that I went to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies and fabric febreeze to make it through the night. The other unit we stayed in did not have any odors but could have used a cleaning as well. ”

“The Villa was not clean long black hairs and dust everywhere dead bugs around baseboards. Stove top has a film of grease and dust. We never use it. “We were looking for a place central to BR, Hammond, and Donaldsonville and the Benton properties are perfect. Convenient to get to, but far enough off the beaten path to be super quiet and cozy. The house is super cute, clean, ceiling fans in every room, and did not smell overpoweringly of air freshener as many Vrbos tend to do. Also, the furniture was so comfortable, perfect after a day of driving in BR traffic! David was so flexible and kind in helping me when I messed up my initial……

“Queen beds and twin beds were lumpy, cheap mattresses. Only one bed side table in bedroom with no lamp, had to move a no switch half broke lamp with no way to turn off except unscrewing the bulb to the bedroom. There was another no switch non working lamp occupying space in the living area too. The toilet flange sat up above the flooring, so had to put a piece of cardboard under front lip to keep it from rocking. 2 of the three smoke detectors were awol. Overall I’d say the owner is satisfied……

“Rhis was a last minute booking due to not being able to stay at the one i had already booked. It was very clean, great neighborhood. Felt very comfortable staying there by myself. Host was easy to reach out to and fast communication. Will be staying there again.”

“Above average lodging in Tickfaw.The good:1\. Close to Hammond, where our event was located. Great location, secluded from the rest of the area.2\. Everything was clean, beds were neat and towels were ready. Furniture was nice and in great condition.3\. Wifi was fast and easy to setup. For a business trip this was a great "home base" for the night. Roku TVs in each room was nice as well.Not great:1\. Property could use some TLC. An exterior shutter was blown off and in the yard.
