"Very clean and comfortable, as well as a great value."

"The hotel property and treatment by staff towards guests was excellent. Comments on our room: lighting was not good with only three lamps. The bathroom is poorly designed. The commode is parked next to the shower door with only one foot of clearance width to squeeze through to enter the shower while there was 3 feet of empty space on the other side of the commode. The door into the shower/commode room opened directly in front of the commode with only 1/4” clearance. No towel racks anywhere so towels had to be hung on the glass shower divider."

"Staff members at the front desk were super friendly and very accommodating. The staff members are the reason to return to this hotel! (Breakfast needs options and an employee attending so that hot plates and mini fridge are timely refilled.)"

"The room and decor are very dated (including those horrible florescent bulbs that emit the worst share of light possible), but the room was clean, the beds were super comfy, and the water pressure was great. Also, during the whole weekend the keycard system was done, so we could only get in via a staff member opening our room for us. This was very inconvenient, and it led to people propping open outside doors since you couldn't open them with a keycard, which felt unsafe."

"The hotel room was swarming with giant fruit flies. They were sticking to the ceiling and swarming all over the place. We called the Front Desk clerk, and he immediately switched us to another room which also had swarms of fruit flies. He was very nice and apologized. He did move us to another room on the opposite side that only had a few flies. We killed several of them as soon as we went in, but we were so tired that We decided to call it a day. The room was not super clean. It had a very funky smell to it. The remote was sticky and I had to go get bacterial wipes from the car to wipe it down. Then the TV didn’t work. Again, the Front Desk clerk was nice and came right over and replaced the batteries in the remote - so he did try. I’m sure he did the best he could, but I feel like a discount should’ve been offered. We had three bad experiences in a row within 20 minutes. I didn’t ask for a discount. I am being honest. I would never stay there again."

"Lovely historic hotel with a great location and all the amenities. Walking distances to so many restaurants, shops, the Shakespeare Theatre, and other attractions. Breakfast bar was delicious and had so many choices. Only downside was it was short staffed and there was a wait for a table. "
