“If you arrive late, be aware you'll need to ring the bell and wait for someone to let you in. Key cards are required for entry to the building even through the front lobby. We waited several minutes for someone to arrive.”

“We stayed for one night. Had not eaten and were to tired to go out. We ate at their bar and found it to be excellent. The food, people and drinks were very good. The bed was very comfortable.”

“Asked for a quiet room and had a room on the back of the property that was fairly quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. Only criticism was the free breakfast. Coffee machine was not working and no hot food. I'd stay here again for the price.”

“I visit Frederick often for business and decided to splurge for a "nicer" hotel than what I usually pick. Overall, I was surprised with how shabby this property was compared with what I'm used to, especially the lack of amenities and the much higher price point. While room was clean, furniture was all mismatched and looked like it came from a thrift store. Everything sort of worked, at least. I have stayed in about a dozen different hotels around Frederick for the past year and this is by far……

“Holes and stains in sheets . No microwave. No coffee. Door looked like it was broken into. Ac was poor. And STILL haven’t given me my deposit back!”

“Staff was so kind, rooms were very clean, space is eclectic as in the photos. It was a bit loud at night. ”

“Beautiful, old hotel with interesting history. Comfortable, quiet room, bed and pillows. Walk to everything downtown. The only issue we had was that our toilet was clogged and so we had a plumber in our room for about 45 minutes, soon after dinner. But service came soon after I called. Also they didn’t have our room ready until 4:30 pm - checkin is supposed to be at 4 which is late by normal standards already. Otherwise, great hotel! ”
