Great quiet place for two near beautiful pond

A quaint little home in a quiet wooded cul de sac very close to a pond. Best for two people, as more than that it starts to get a little cozy for dining/sleeping/sitting purposes. Lovely view of the pond, although the home is set back a few houses from the pond itself.

Great stay on Pleasant St

This house is perfect for two or three people. It’s in good shape, has a small but fully working kitchen, and is right by the pond! My wife and I slept in the bedroom upstairs and our 17-year-old son slept on the futon in the living room. Very manageable. The laundry access is a nice bonus. Nice little house, fully functional. Would like to stay here again for the third time!

Very cute space!

Very cute spot! Lake was beautiful. Close for Ubering to and from Salem which is why we were there. There seemed to be a miscommunication on allowing us to check in early, however, bc when we arrived dirty towels were still in a pile on the bathroom and the bed sheets were used. Not a huge deal, we stripped the bed ourselves and added new sheets and cleaning crew came around 45 minutes before “normal” check in and did the rest. Also was pretty cold at night and in early morning and unsure how heat worked, not a lot of communication on the app but we were able to find a space heater downstairs in the basement! All in all good stay and comfortable space! Would stay again.

Perfect little place for two. Very tastefully appointed. Just a few steps to beautiful Pleasant Pond. Convenient to Gloucester, Rockport, Salem. Nice restaurants and a great bakery nearby. We loved it!!

This is a clean, modern, perfect little house just a stone’s throw from a clean, quiet perfect little swimming pond. Communication with host easy, check in easy, The neighbors are very friendly, we hope to return next summer.

The neighborhood was very charming. We all fell in love. The swans on the pond couldn’t have been more perfect. All around it was a wonderful stay and trip. My only suggestion would be to get a pull out couch. The futon wasn’t very comfortable.

This is a perfect house for a quiet vacation! The lake is beautiful, it is close to to many sights, and the house itself is clean and cozy. The hosts are extremely helpful and accommodating as well.

Nice little house, well maintained. Very clean, I found everything I needed. Quiet, relaxing place. Close to ocean shore towns, shopping, supermarkets and restaurants. We enjoyed kayaking and nature, we saw a swan family, ducks, frogs, dragonflies and turtles

The house is perfectly located near the pond. We used the 1 person and 2 person kajak and had good fun. The bed was perfect. We only missed a place to sit outside and a few table lamps .

Place to sleep

It was on ok place to sleep but overall disappointing. I rented this place instead of a hotel room for my sister, brother in law, and two of their kids so they could cook meals and save money. The stove didn’t work and the downstairs bathroom smelled like sewage. The owners were easy to contact but I could have gotten a similar experience at a hotel

This property was perfect for us! We traveled from CA for my son to play in a lacrosse showcase at Endicott College. It was minutes away from the campus. The house is located next to a lake with areas to walk or run. The house was super clean with a washer and dryer. A super plus in my book because cleaning the dirty LAX apparel came in handy. The only thing that didn't work was the oven, but we did not cook much. I wish they had a non-stick frying pan rather than an iron skillet. Cooking eggs on the iron skillet was not so great. If we were in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Very Disappointing

This was our first time using VRBO. It was a very disappointing week. Our expectation was that VRBO checks out the properties before listing. This property is grossly-overcharging for the conditions you are met with. It has great potential but the hosts need to address a few major things. My suggestions are: remove all food left in the refrigerator or cabinets by previous guests. There was a lot of opened and expired food in the refrigerator and cabinet. We stayed in the middle of June and the food expiration dates were March. Unacceptable. This made it difficult for us to utilize both spaces for the food we bought for the week. It turned out to be just as well though. All of the kitchen appliances should be replaced. The refrigerator needed a good cleaning and had a broken shelf. The stove was completely useless. It needed to be tossed out. I don't think the top or the oven had ever been cleaned. I opened the oven and immediately closed it. I've never seen an oven look like that. The counter tops were sticky and loaded with so much stuff that was decoration; not functional. I can't even begin to describe the toaster. Was afraid to even plug it in. It was filthy. There was no comfortable living room seating. A futon (that was old) was so uncomfortable and difficult to get out of was the main seating available. There was a wooden rocker for one person to use. But not for an evening of tv. Ran out of space. I would not recommend this to anyone. VRBO you should remove the list
