The staff seemed friendly. It’s an older building. It’s showing its age and lack of a refresh, but generally very clean and quaint/cute. Decently well located and walking distance of a great small theater and a couple of really good coffee, shops and restaurants.

I expected a much higher level of finish for the room, but it was certainly worked on and stayed in and it showed quite a bit. Couch had stains, walls showed patches, bathroom floor needs a better cleaning job... Just mid for what I paid.

The food is terrible and all food and drinks are overpriced. Got one drink and later got a bill for $31? The delivered breakfast has delivery fees tax and tip so it’s extremely expensive and is horrible quality of food.
The biggest complaint I had was my sister called the hotel before I checked in to ask them to surprise me with something for my birthday. They did nothing and then she had to follow up multiple times just for them to give me something 2 days late upon checkout… just not what I would expect from such a highly rated hotel. It’s also disappointing to see that a girl staying a couple days before me had a great and special birthday experience but when I checked in I didn’t have the same experience. In fact they asked me the occasion of my stay at least 3 times. Definitely have had better experiences at cheaper hotels.

Room was clean, breakfast was good, staff was nice. There were a few areas where water was leaking - in our room, the floor was wet by the AC, and in the lobby area there was some sort of leak with a cone to warn people.
